ACTIVITIES AT WARREN HAMFEST

Several Ohio Section Cabinet members and I will be attending the Warren Hamfest this Sunday, August 18th at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds in Cortland, Ohio.  There are some new things happening this year at the hamfest.  At 9AM, there will be an ARES forum for all past, present, and future ARES volunteers.  At 9:30am, I am doing short presentation on ARES and Social Media.  Come learn how Social Media is a help and not a hindrance.  At 10AM, there will be amateur radio license exams. This is a great opportunity to take your Technician

or upgrade.  Something that caught my attention is anyone who takes an amateur radio license exam will be entered into a drawing for a free HT!

 

The ARRL Forum will be held at 11AM.  All ARRL members should attend this.  At 11:30AM, there will be a nice presentation on digital ham radio.  The food vendor is Boy Scout Troop 8 from Leavittsburg, OH.  They have a great menu and a LEMONADE STAND!!!
